It is said that wood smoke creates a gazillion chemical compounds that could harm pregnant women, children and elves. (Have you ever had wood smoked barbecue chicken? Damn that's good.) That being said, many homeowners in Tuscon are being asked to limit their wood-burning to their fireplaces and only use it to heat their homes. Trying to create a romance mood? Stick to candles. Trying to get rid of that worrisome neighbor? Bury them in the woods. Now people say wood- burning is bad for you. Good lord.
